Here is an actual install of one of our Blue units. Normal installation only takes about 30 minutes. All you need is a drill, a hole bit that cuts a 1.5 - 2 inch hole and a screwdriver. Thats it!

Here are actual pictures sent to me by a customer of mine. The first 4 are before pictures and the last one is after she installed our CaluTech air purifier and ran it for several weeks.
Here is what it looked like after adding our UV-C in duct air purifier. All mold is killed.

We have recently lowered pricing on most of our UV-C in-duct air purifier units. Actually, quite drastically on the Airtronics one tube unit. We have done this because we want to compete with the cheap competitors units out there that are made in China, and other places where there is no real quality control. Our quality will still remain the same - great - with no compromise. Spring is coming and we have just the unit you might need to help with your allergies and asthma that will flare up when you go outside. Check us out at www.centralstatescleanair.com. Uncompromising quality at an unbeatable price! That’s what you will get with CaluTech products.

Here is a link to the World Health Organization’s PDF file on the timeline of the Avian Flu virus. As you can see near the end of the document, this flu is far from being over. http://www.who.int/csr/disease/avian_influenza/timeline2008_01_30.pdf. As we have stated before, our UV-C air purifiers made in the USA by CaluTech will erradicate this virus.

Once again, CaluTech has introduced a revolutionary way to cleanse the air in your home or office. Until now, if you wanted to add to the cleaning power of UV-C light, you choice was to add our Snapcat(r) strips to your bulbs. How this works is as follows: The Snapcat(r) strips are coated with titanium dioxide. when exposed to UV-C light, they emit particles that attach themselves to pathogens such as odors, bacteria, mold, etc. , and kill them the same way that direct contact with UV-C light does. What is cool about using these strips, is that the particles get carried out into the home by way of your heating and cooling forced air system. Even though they are short lived, they attach themselves to carpet, window sills, couches, you name it, and kill the organisms on site. The big takeaway from this is that the air now no longer needs to pass directly in front of the UV-C light for pathogens to be killed. The Snapcat(r) action causes the emitted particles to kill stuff that may have never been able to be pulled over the UV-C light. It is a double whammy for anything in the air of your house. If you have ever noticed how fresh the air smells at a sandy beach, then you are seeing what the effect of titanium dioxide has when exposed to UV light. The particles created by the reaction of the sand on the beach and the UV light cleans the air just like the Snapcat(r) strips do.
Introducing Oxycat(r)
Oxycat(r) is a revolutionary idea taken from the Snapcat(r) strips but carried further. Now the entire UV-C lamp is covered in a sleeve manufactured for the bulb and coated in titanium dioxide. This allows even more effective reaction coverage of the UV lamp and titanium dioxide. Now even more particles are released to effectively kill even more pathogens in your air. All Blue series units come standard with these sleeves at no extra charge as well as the new Breathe Safe Air portable unit. The Blue series include the Blue, Mini-Blue and Blueray units. The other units we carry- the Airtronics and DSL units come with no strips, but are able to accomodate the Snapcat(r) strips available as an additional accessory.

The recent California fires have been devastating. Not only to the families and homes affected directly, but to surrounding homes and businesses that have been inundated with the smoke from the fires. Many people suffer from asthma and allergies, and the smoke from these recent fires has only irritated this even more. Even staying indoors now for these folks doesn’t protect them from the smoke that seems to invade at every possible crack in the home, removing any chance of a safe haven to hide from this problem. At CaluTech, we take your health very seriously and have a vested interest in helping you to create an atmosphere in your home that is free from allergens. When you are breathing good, we all reap the benefits. Happier people, more energetic people, and lower medical costs to all of us (still hoping for more relief on that last point…).
We have a new product that we announced this last month. It is a portable unit, very light weight and portable, stands about 13″ high and works wonders! It is a great addition for those who want added protection in their bedrooms, apartments, dorm rooms, office spaces, or anywhere you can not mount an in-duct UV-C unit. Check it out at www.centralstatescleanair.com/uv-air-purifier-portable unit. It is a great addition for any home and covers up to 500 sq. feet.. For whole house sterilization, consider our in-duct units.

I watched an article on the Documentary channel last night. Very interesting and disturbing! The name of the documentary was “Kilowatt Our”. If you get a chance, watch it. It will open your eyes. One thing I noticed was that in the SE section of the US, many of the power plants down there are coal fired. The amount of emissions created by those plants, as well as nuclear ones, was amazing. There is no “clean” energy except for solar and wind.
My point here is that until those plants are finally shut down, there will be bad air quality. In homes, businesses, everywhere. You can’t escape it. The UV air purifiers manufactured by CaluTech will go a long way to help your indoor air quality problems and issues. Asthma sufferers, we can help you get relief. We can’t control the outside air, but we sure can help you inside. For more information on what pathogens we can help remove from your air, check out my website www.centralstatescleanair.com and have a look around. I have lots of valuable information on indoor air quality and am happy to answer any questions you might have. If I don’t have the answer, I will try to get one for you.

A question was posed to me recently on the effects of UV-C light exposure to your eyes. Here is my response
“Yes, UV-C is harmful to your eyes. If you come in contact with it for short periods of time, you may get a “sunburn” and your eyes will feel like they are swollen and puffy, itchy, and it is very uncomfortable. This will go away after a period of time, but extended or repeat exposure to UV-C lights are harmful. Every precaution must be made to make sure the lamps are turned off before any servicing is done. If used in schools or other places other than a home, it is advisable to post a sign noting UV-C exposure is harmful and to remove power before servicing. Another option would be to rig a safety switch to the access door, say, of an air handler unit that uses UV-C and when the door is opened, the lights will automatically be powered down. Bottom line is that a short glance of the UV-C light will do no harm to your eyes, but one must make sure that it does not happen if possible.”
When changing your lamps in your home, you need to first remove power to the unit first to avoid any accidental occurence of viewing the UV-C light. While it may not be fatal, it certainly be uncomfortable while your eyes are healing.

Avian influenza – situation in Indonesia
9 January 2007
The Ministry of Health in Indonesia has confirmed an additional two cases of human infection with the H5N1 avian influenza virus.
The first newly-confirmed case is a 14 year old male from West Jakarta. He developed symptoms on 31 December 2006 and was hospitalized on 4 January 2007. He remains hospitalized. Deaths among poultry in the neighbourhood have recently been reported. The source of exposure is currently under investigation.
The second case is a 37 year old female from Tangerang, Banten Province. She developed symptoms on 1 January 2007 and was hospitalized on 6 January 2007. She remains in intensive care. Initial investigations suggest sick poultry as the possible source of infection.
Of the 76 cases confirmed to date in Indonesia, 57 have been fatal.
As you can see the threat is very real. Experts say that is not if, but when it will strike. CaluTech products will kill the virus. The power of our UV-C units effectively kill the virus, creating a safe environment in your home or office. By leaving the circulating fan on continuously, the air is constantly being purified and cleansed of pathogens such as the HN-51 virus. Why? Because I believe in the products I sell and will stand behind them. In the rare occurence that a customer purchases one of our units and doesn’t feel that they have benefited from it, we will gladly refund their full purchase price. Today we live in a world that is very distrusting. Especially if you buy online, you never meet the business in person, so to try to send something back that has just not worked for you can be very troublesome.
We make it clear that you will be satisfied or we will take your purchase back and return your money within 30 days if you have followed our simple instructions. This is enough time for you to find out if it is going to work for you or not. I have never had a return unit yet because the person was not satisfied.
We make every effort to have the best customer service in the industry. My motto is “The sale is not final until you are satisfied”. This was true when I started Central States Clean Air, and will continuously remain a top priority. Having a good product isn’t enough for us, we also want to offer the best service to you, our customer.
Visit my website www.centralstatescleanair.com for all the UV-C products I carry, and find out for yourself how purchasing online can be a satisfying and enjoyable experience. We are here to make your life better.
